wow. what a long election. i woke up very early this morning ready to vote and ready to win. my line wasn't too bad, but my co-workers came across many lines that were hours long. i can't stop reading the news online today even though we won't know anything until tonight.
here is a super cool graphic from the new york times that shows the current moods of democrats (in blue) and republicans (in red). very telling.

this is the COOLEST thing in the whole world!
ok, maybe i was a little tipsy when i tried it last night, but it's seriously amazing. these are digital photos from my computer that i turned into awesome polaroids in just a few minutes.
the program is super fancy and makes all the right sounds and develops in front of you in real time and you can even shake it to make it go faster. you can stop developing if you like the way it looks or you can wait until it's fully "developed". insane!!
isn't baby grace the cutest?
click on the photos to see them large. the detail is super real.

i ran across this amazing poster website when i was reading an article in the ny times by steven heller. the excitement that the obama campaign has created in the design community is very inspiring. you can also download the posters from the site and print them out for your nov 4th vote count party!

leslie is working on a project documenting the homes of lots of famous designers and architects. here are a few images from her website, but she has a ton more that are really inspiring and she is possibly producing a collection of the images in a book in the future. i will keep you posted on that. in the meantime, check out her website, it's very nice.

alejandra's art explores the connection between photography and sculpture. in her recent series, she created sculptures from found objects and then documented them beautifully with her photographs. her images are truly beautiful in their simplicity and the colors and compositions remind me of morandi paintings. i still need to see that show at the met.
you can see her work in person through november 8th at danzinger projects in nyc.
