i think the time has finally come for me to purchase a jielde lamp. i just can't stand it anymore. they are just so beautiful and they come in so many pretty colors. choosing the color and model will now take me another year. floor or table? red, orange, yellow, blue? oh no!

Did you buy one? After lusting for a Jielde Loft Zig Zag In polished chrome for 2 years, I took a baby step and sold my vintage cast iron and aluminum medical floor lamp on ebay. It has served as a treasured possession for well for over 10 years, but it was time to trade up.
The lamp sold New Year's Eve and when I logged into ebay on New Year's Day, there was the perfect, vintage, newly rewired, polished Zig Zag Jielde. I sent in my best offer, within moments it was accepted and I now run to the door each day like a puppy when I hear the ups truck humm up the street. I am so excited for it to arrive!!!

Yes it's SPECTACULAR in person - only problem is it came diassembled and I put it together and can't get it to work. GREEEE. I know it worked before I bought it so something may have gotten rattled in shipping - the connections are rather tricky - filaments that need to line up etc. Easy enough to take it to the local rewiring guy, but if anyone has anyone here has any tips - plz send! I am sure it is something quite simple ;) Thnaks again for the lovely blog! Hilary
