catskills part 2

here are a few more shots from our lovely weekend in the catskills at full moon resort and our hike to giant ledge.

EARTHWORKS was a recent one night show at cl-oth in chelsea that a lot of people didn't get a chance to see since it was so quick, so i have posted some shots from the show. the artists are patrick brennan (painting), ned colclough (sculpture) and jd walsh (video).

catskills part 1

here are a few shots from last weekend in the catskills soaking in the nature. it's just wonderful up there. i'll post more shots from our hike soon. i am officially hooked on film.

film vs. digital

i went to a wedding this past weekend and shot with both my digital and film cameras. i took this lovely shot of the pool with both options since i wanted to see which captured it better. the funny thing is it's tough to tell the difference at this size. can you tell?

here are some random film shots taken lately that i like quite a bit, but not so sure they all go together. a special shout out to gianna commito who is the very talented artist who made the painting in the first photo.

gardens

i shoot a lot of photographs of gardens. i just can't help it. these shots are from 4 different gardens: the atlanta botanical garden, an overlook at riverside park, and the green dome at mccarren park and my mother's backyard.

striped film part 2

here are a few more seriously striped shots from that funny roll. the first two shots were taken at an art opening and are sculptures by ned colclough. the stripes are kind of cool, kind of a bummer. not really sure how i feel about them. the other two shots are random shots that i think work with the fabric like stripes. they almost look like double exposures.

my latest roll of film had the unfortunate fate of being rewound poorly (by me) and thus many of the shots are stripey. at first i was bummed, but now i kind of like it. after all, isn't the point of shooting film to leave a little bit to chance?

hello. i am almost back to normal and hoping to get back into the swing of things with the blog as well. here are some film shots from a couple months ago that i took coming and going to work. as much as i don't love times square or midtown, these photos are kind of special to me.

hi everyone. sorry i have been away for so long. i had some unexpected health stuff come up that i have been dealing with full time. we sadly had to postpone our dream trip to france and instead of posting some sad photo, i figured i would post this delicious dessert we enjoyed last month at walter foods.
