my summer lighting class at SVA came to an end last night with a final critique. it was wonderful to reflect on everything that we learned. here are a couple of my favorite shots from class, but it wasn't so much about taking great shots as it was about learning the equipment and gaining confidence that i can put together a set by myself.
i really thought i would love the soft boxes and beauty dishes (which i do), but i also love the harder light on the shots above. the one on the left is a fresnel spot light and on the right are two strip banks behind the model (shayla) with no main light. pretty fun stuff.
